Melanie joined the Foundation staff in 2006. She has a bachelor’s degree in Human Development & Family Studies from Texas Tech University and over 12 years of experience in non-profit case management, program oversight, and development.

Brooks joined The Gordie Foundation in 2008 to spearhead the first-annual National GORDIEday campaign. A native of Dallas, Brooks is senior at Southern Methodist University majoring in political science and Spanish.
